A Child Called It Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
Many people had mentioned the book A Child Called It, by Dave Pelzer, but I never actually knew what it was about. I have never found it easy to read a whole book without losing interest. I often found my mind wandering while reading and causing me to keep rereading the material. This was far from the case wit this story. I started this book at about 9:00pm one night, before bed, and could not put it down until midnight when I finished the entire reading. I have never felt so compelled to hang on and see what would happen next while reading, until now. I didn’t have to reread anything because the author painted such a clear picture of the horrific life that he lived. The hardest part was reading through my tears. My heart ached for “the boy” (as he is called in the story) and I cried my eyes out over and over. However, I made it through and want to find the time to read the sequels, The Lost Boy and A Man Named Dave, Mr. Pelzer has now written.
