Childhood Depression Most people consider childhood to be the happiest times of ones life. However, one in every thirty-three children will have some type of childhood depression. But, what is childhood depression? How do parents know when their child (ren) are depressed and what can they do about it? Childhood depression is a type of mental illness that affects children of all ages but becomes more prevalent during the adolescence stage. It impacts the way the child feels, think, and acts.
