The Roles of Visual Artists in Society Contemporary focus �Contemporary society has little impact upon the role of visual artists� Contemporary society has a great impact on visual artists and it always has been. his/her tools, whether it is paints, pens, pencils or any other median they enjoy and find effective, to challenge ideas and comment on the trends society has formed and important subjects and tries to bring about change. They try change subjects important to the artists such as political stances, views and areas that the artist feel need to be shown to different groups of society to create a movement in order to bring change, such as the painting that depict starving children, death and war. Values and beliefs are the main ideas being commented on and expressed by the artists to give the viewer a fresh and different perspective on the issue, in the hope to encourage the majority to see through the artist�s eyes, promoting change to the issue being questioned.
