Jack in White Noise, expresses his love within his complicated marriages and jealousy towards Babette after her affair with Mr. Grey. In The Great Gatsby, love is achieved through financial prosperity especially by Daisyfs desire to be married to a rich man. In addition, in all three texts, betrayal is an inevitable accompaniment to love.
