In medieval days the lives for women differed greatly then they do today. All women had traditional roles in which they were to follow. Marriage and dedication to one’s husband was a standard, as was caring for the family and house. However, there were more women then men so not all could marry. The different social classes would impact the work and everyday agenda of a medieval woman’s life. When considered not “a lady” (women of upper class) there was a vast variety of activities and lifestyles women took on.
Like today, single vs. married life can differ greatly. For those who were married commitment to one’s husband, house and family were the Kationsibility compared to that of a Greek Woman. This somewhat has some resemblance to women of out time, yet obviously then they were more confined.
Single women of this class had more emphasis on their job for they were supporting themselves with no help of a spouse. Single women didn’t have the advantage of carrying on someone’s occupation that was handed to them, but had to take on roles of their own. Women had many opportuni......
