Overview of the Case: The company mentioned in this case, Halifax-based OMEGA Air Charters Inc.(OMEGA), is a Canadian company whose business is to lease short-takeoff and landing airplanes and helicopters, to train pilot and engineers, and to secure contracts to provide charter services. Casey Evans, the executive vice-president of OMEGA, is in a predicament of having to regain the trust from both her superiors and her organization in general. After a long history of making successful business decisions for Omega, Casey made a poor judgment call in Zimbabwe which severely affected the profitability of the company as a whole. She now finds herself in a similar situation which seems to be her last chance for survival in OMEGA. After very hard work and tough negotiations, Casey has confirmed an extremely profitable contract in Azerbaijan, but faces opposition from the Azerbaijani people who will be the key employees within the contractual agreement.
