Vincent Van Gogh Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Debatably the greatest artist of all time, Vincent Van Gogh was largely unrecognized during his life. His instability as a person prevented him from rising to greatness. Van Gogh’s personal life was riddled with troubles and thus was the ultimate reason for his death in 1890. His artwork consists of some of the most famous paintings of all time. From The Potato Eaters to Starry Night Van Gogh’s distinctive style can be felt. Vincent was born on March 30, 1853. His parents were Anna Cornelia Carbentus and Reverend Theodorus van Gogh. Vincent had three sisters by the names of Elisabeth, Anna, and Wil, along with two brothers named Theo and Cor. Not much else is known about his childhood except the fact that he did not get exposed to art much as a child. ( When he was only sixteen years old, Vincent was hired by the Hague gallery as an art dealer. This was the first taste of art that Vincent had received in his life, and probably helped convince him to be an artist later on in his life. Vincent moved many times during this period of his life, which caused him to become sick of the art......
