We hear a noise in the treetops, an owl hooting in the frigid winter night, a gentle breeze sweeps over the desolate trees. It slowly begins to darken, dusk is setting in. To the left of me, the bushes shake, I watch as a brown four-legged creature materializes out of the bushes. A young doe trots across the narrow, dusty trail. The trail is surrounded by pine trees on both sides, and the hallowing moon casts shadows of the tree tops down around us on the trail as we make our way to the field of the pine trees. The shine of the moon reflects off of the long, thin strips of kudzu that run up the tall, skinny pine trees. As we emerge from the narrow, long, dusty trail, the low-lying fog begins to impede our vision. We put our faith in our trusty hi-beams as we turn onto the frightful main field road. As we make our way down the eerie path, a large, dark object begins to erode out of the dark, cold fog. Our hi-beams tell us that there is something lurking in the dark distance.
