People come to holy places for forgiveness of all their sins. They ask to be blessed by god for good health and take away all their pain. Thus, people believe that god will save their life. All religions have holy places to be visited by people. People visit holy places to perform rituals/ceremonies. My religion, Jainism, has many holy places like Palitana, Sankheshwar, Mahudi, etc. the three holy places in Jerusalem are of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, each. They are �The Western (Wailing) Wall,� �The Church of the Holy Sepulchre,� and �The Dome of the Rock� respectively. Jerusalem, by virtue of the number and diversity of people who have held it sacred, may be considered the most holy city in the world. To the Jewish people it is Ir Ha-Kodesh (the Holy City), the site of Abraham�s sacrifice, the Biblical Zion, the City of David, the site of Solomon's Temple, and the eternal capital of the Israelite nation.
