Hinduism, upon reflection, is more a way of life than a religion and for some Hindus more about pain and suffering than pleasure. The division and the identity of the Hindu world have been a focal point in India�s Government and media in the past 60 years. �Hinduism has been portrayed as a more or less unified religion� although, through research and understand you can see that this statement is completely opposite the truth. The religion itself is divided into hundreds of sub-groups depending on region, language, beliefs etc� Within these divisions there exists a complex caste system derived to aid a follower of Hinduism in the accumulation of good karma and eventually moksha. The caste system, itself, consists of four varnas; the brahmins, the kshatriyas, the vaishyas and the shudras.
