�The Health Department� The Health Department is often overlooked for the things it does for our community. Many people believe it is only a place for the poor to go, but actually anyone can go there. I have always been curious of what goes on at the Health Department, so I decided to take a closer look. I called the Health Department and scheduled an appointment to have an interview with a nurse named Becky. My expectations were to answer all the questions I have ever had concerning the Health Department. It is 3:45p.m. . I�m headed towards the Carter County Health Department to begin my interview. As I walk through the door, I am greeted with screams of kids arguing over toys and the cries of sick infants. I sit in one of the hard brown plastic chairs and begin to wait. Finally, the door is cracked and I hear the nurse say �Allison.� I hop out of my seat and follow the nurse. As we walk back to her office, I feel my palms begin to sweat with nervousness.
