As George walked back toward the bunk house, he couldn�t get Lennie off oh his mind. He didn�t think it was right that he just left him there. He decided that it was only right to give him a proper -or fairly decent- burial. He went back with Slim and Candy close behind. They stretched out Lennie�s body along the brush. They covered him with a blanket and leaves. George knew this wasn�t proper but it was the best he could do. When they returned to the bunkhouse, all the men were sitting at the table playing cards. Curley called out to them, �Care to join? We are just starin� a new game.� Slim went over but George and Candy explained that they didn�t feel up to it. They both went and sat in a corner and started to talk. Eventually, the ranch came up.
