�1981: The Year of My Birth� It was a dark and stormy night�actually it was a sunny snowy morning in January, the 29th to be exact. The setting is Parkersburg, WV in the year 1981. Most people were probably still trying to keep their New Years Resolution or paying off their Christmas bills. My mother and father were both very, very young; 15 and 16 respectively. I lived with my mom, her parents, and one of my mom�s sisters. I can even remember going to my mom�s high school graduation. I was totally unplanned and if it wasn�t for my grandparents (both sets) I wouldn�t be the person I am today. I remember the United States wasn�t as scary before or maybe I was just too young to notice. There weren�t any major wars going on at the time that made you wonder when the next plane was going to crash into a building. What I wouldn�t give to trade my childhood fears for my adult ones.
