�BEOWULF� Does anyone know the real meaning of an epic hero? When reading about epic heroes, one can say that it can be characterize as many different things. An example of an epic hero is the poem �Beowulf�. Beowulf is consisted an epic hero because he is wise in knowing what others had set out to do. To better understand an epic hero, one must know and understand that an epic is in fact a long narrative poem in elevated style that presents it characters in very high position in a series of grand adventures unified by the characters. �Beowulf� had all of those positions and it was written it the 700ce.Even though �Beowulf� was written in 700ce, the real �Beowulf� (king) was written in 500ca. With the real �Beowulf� being written in 500ca, the �Beowulf� of the 700ce used the language by the Anglo-Saxons called Old English. �Beowulf� was the first great work to be known of the English Literature and be produced by the Anglo- Saxons.
