Taking Sides Paper Fetal alcohol syndrome is a very preventable disease. Although the chances of having a child with full blown fetal alcohol syndrome are slim, the child will still have some form of either a mental or physical disability from it. Many people argue that it is the mother�s choice, but you have to consider the human that is inside of her. That baby is relying on the mother to give it the nutrition that it needs, it is helpless to fend for itself. I took a survey of some people I know and asked them the following questions: 1. Women who repeatedly get drunk while they are pregnant should be kept in jail if necessary until the baby is born. 2. All bartenders should be trained not to serve any drinks at all to a woman who is obviously pregnant. 3. If a man and a pregnant woman are drinking together and both become intoxicated, both the man and the woman should be arrested for child abuse. I had the group of people I asked rate it on a scale of 1-5, 5 being strong agreement and 1 being strong disagreement (Ksir). The majority of the people I asked agreed......
