My experience of Operation Iraqi Freedom Specific purpose: To inform my audience about some of the things I experienced and felt during my deployment to Camp Liberty, Iraq. Central idea: I experienced many new and different things, thoughts, and emotions while deployed. Intro: 1. Salaam. A. Have you heard this word before? B. I learned it and many other Arabic words during my deployment to Operation Iraqi Freedom from August 2005 to July 2006 2. The same word- Salaam- can be used to mean both hello and goodbye. A.
