Alcohol abuse and drug abuse are two serious issues that we face in our country today, but not only do we face these serious issues with adults in our country, we also face a serious problem of alcohol and drug abuse among teens. Before we can address some of these difficult and controversial issues, we must first understand how drugs enter into and affect the body. Users of both illicit and licit drugs licit drugs have many options when it comes to bringing substances into their bloodstreams. In this section, we will discuss the four ways that drugs enter the body: in halation, absorption, and oral consumption, and how those various ways have different effects on the body. One of the most popular ways that drugs can enter the body is through inhalation.
