Armenian Genocide It was a pretty peaceful time around here. Days were long and tiring but people cared for one another and had respect. My mother and father worked hard yet always came home with a smile on their faces. Even though we were treated as such second class citizens there was little violence at the time, mother and father talked about how our kind was starting to be treated badly. I guess lately, things have changed around here. People are starting to cause trouble with one another, and it seems as though the violence that was once never there has now come into play. I here mother and father talking about this Nationalism, and how it's spreading about the country. We lived under the Ottoman Empire, however lately it has been refereed to as crumbling and falling apart. It seems as if though were trying to be spread apart however Europe doesn't know how too.
