Three New Amendments Over the last 215 years, 27 Amendments have been created and are part of the United States Constitution. The first 10 amendments are called the Bill Of Rights. However, since 1992 there has not been a new amendment. If I could create a 28th, 29th, and 30th amendment I would change the voting age to 21, the number of years a president has in office, which would be one 6-year term and have the popular vote override the electoral votes in a presidential election. I would repeal Amendment 26. This amendment lowered the minimum voting age in all elections to 18. I would raise the minimum voting age to 21. Adults should be allowed to vote at 21 years of age rather than 18 because young adults are less mature than they were 50 years ago. According to some studies, the newer generations of young adults show that they are not growing up and maturing as quickly as they did years ago. In addition to this, most young adults do not finish college until they are 21-23. At that time in their lives, they are much more in touch with current events and world affairs, ......
