Nature Essay In Nature by Ralph Waldo Emerson, we will consider the evidence of imagery and diction and conclude that nature is a place to be in peace. “ Nature never wears a mean appearance…” quotes Emerson (pg.220) Meaning that nature is not artificial but instead it is a true beauty were one can see that we finds a unique tranquility. Emerson also states that nature is a place to find yourself and your own thoughts. Nature does not hide anything but instead makes u feel alive. It awakens all your five senses; touch, smell, taste, hear, and sight. Emerson allows the reader to see the simple truth. Nature awakens your five senses unlike the urbanized life we live in. The mind has a need to be alone once in a while escaping the urban life. “ To go into solitude, a man needs to retire as much as from his chamber as from society.” (pg.219) He believes that nature is the antidote for the minds stress.
