There has been a major misconception between overweight people, and obese people. One thing true about them, they are both larger than what we expect out of a normal sized person. Being overweight means having some extra pounds sagging around that are not needed. Overweight people can shrink back down to normal size a lot quicker than someone who is obese. An obese person is someone who is extremely overweight, and is a risks for health problems, such as cancer. They have a much longer quest to come down to average weight. To determine the difference between the two, a doctor must run a test on the person to see what they can be labeled as. The test is called body mass index (BMI). They measure the person�s height and weight, and than use these numbers in order to calculate the BMI.(Homeier) A large part of our country is made up from people overweight and obese, parents need to get a hold of their children and show them how bad this can make their future lives.
