GANDHI- A TRUE INSPIRATION FOR THE WORLD: Gandhi is the father of India’s Independence. He has made a true influence in the heart of Muslims, Hindus, Indians, and toward peaceful resolutions of disputes. He has worked hard and is example of how one person can make a difference in our society and culture. Gandhi had some what of a troubled childhood, but even with his worst personal problems, he never gave up. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born on October 2nd, 1869 in Porbandar, a small town on the western coast of India in the state of Kathiawar (Chapter 2- B.R. Nanda). He was born into a middle class family that was part of the Vaishya caste (Chapter 2-B.R.Nanda). His grandfather was Dewan or Prime Minister of Porbandar and was later succeeded by his son Karamchand who was Mohandas’ father. Mahatma was fortunate enough to go to school in Porbandar (Chapter 2- B.R. Nanda). He was married to Kasturbai at the age of 13 during his sophomore year in high school. After high school, he went on to attend Samaldas College in Bhavnagar (Chapter 3- B.R. Nanda). His father ......
