The two issues that will be discussed are unemployment and poverty. ‘Unemployment’ is individual without a paid job and ‘poverty’ is lack of resource to maintain human life. In order to find a solution the problem must be identified. Then once that has been done, an investigation must be carried out to find the cause. (Haralambos &Holborn : 291) C. Wright Mills wrote that, if a problem impacts on one person it is an individual problem but if it impacts on a wide range of people it is a social problem. He explained that personal troubles happen within the character of the individual and in the range of his or her immediate relations. These troubles are private and can be resolved at this level.
