Medical Allowance for Marijuana Marijuana is a narcotic that has been increasingly growing in the drug rings over the years. Smoking Marijuana (scientifically known as Cannabis) is, according to the Office of National Drug Control Policy, damaging to the lungs, and has shown to kill many brain cells. The use of the drug is often referred to as a �gateway habit� that leads to harder and more lethal substance abuse. These are many reasons as to why Cannabis has not been legalized. Cannabis can be used as a powerful hallucinogenic, and those who use it are at risk of further social, mental, physical, and emotion deterioration. It is in these recreational cases of abuse, legislation has been against the legalization of medical use of Cannabis.
