Environment and Pollution Introduction The act or process of polluting or the state of being polluted, especially the contamination of soil, water, or the atmosphere by the discharge of harmful substances is called pollution. It is the contamination of the environment as a result of human activities Pollution is one of the main causes of heart and skin diseases in human beings and property damage. Urban and rural outdoor environments contain toxicants and irritants that reduce the quality of life and cause disease. It�s not just the lungs and lower respiratory tract, but also the eyes, the ears, the nose, and the skin are exposed to environmental pollution. Pollution also causes damage to property and buildings due to the UV rays and exhaust gas. There are different types of pollution. They are:- 1. Air Pollution 2. Water pollution 3. Noise Pollution 4.
