Freedom is an illusion, conditioning has removed it. This paper will prove this by showing that there are always other factors influencing decisions, conditioning from things such as society has made freedom unreal, even the feeling of freedom is not real, and that even if people are sure their in control their not because they can�t control their subconscious which influences decisions as well. This paper will also look at (and prove wrong) some of the theories that try and prove freedom is real such as the ability to choose the other option, and that without freedom there is no responsibility. Freedom is defined as the human capacity to act (or not to act) as we choose or prefer, without any compulsion or restraint. However freedom is an illusion because no matter what the decision a person is always influenced by things that have happened to them, and by factors such as society, ethics, and even genetics. Even when a person is making (what they think to be) a trivial decision the choice they make is still influenced. For example, a person has two choices; they could go to bed......
