Over the course of history, the question of when people first discovered the �New World� has been up for debate. How did they come here? When did they come here? How did they live? Question�s such as these arise when this topic is brought up for discussion. After doing my share of research I have come to my own conclusion that the first humans arrived in the Americas by the Central Beringia, (the bridge that linked Siberia and the �New World�) somewhere between 15,000 and 11,000 years ago. In elementary school we were all taught that Christopher Columbus discovered the �New World�; we remember the never ending phrase, �In 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean blue�. As time went on and we grew older we were taught that he only �discovered� North America in a sense that the Europeans hadn�t discovered it yet, but the Native American�s already occupied the Americas long before Columbus and his crew set foot on the new land. The expedition that Columbus set out for did, however, discover that the earth was indeed, not flat, but round. When it comes to discoveries and the Americas I believe......
