The vast impact that Television (T.V.) has had on America is a vast subject. T.V. has brought historical moments directly into a family�s living room. It has portrayed gruesome scenes of war and violence. T.V. has proved to be a wasteland for the minds of children, yet it also delivers to them valuable information. It has wired the world in a vast interconnected landscape of news camera�s, satellite feeds, and cable connections to bring instant on the spot happenings from around the world directly to someone�s home. Whether these effects of T.V. are good or bad will be attempted to be described in this essay. When T.V. was first technically started in 1900 at the worlds fair in France, it was run off of rotating metal disks and had none of the quality and sound that we have today. As rudimentary as these televisions were they were still able to show someone an act or event from the past and retell it through electricity and cathode tubes, to present it in real time to someone who didn�t actually witness the event.
