Frost’s Images of Life Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

“The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost uses imagery to symbolize life and to demonstrate that everyone is a traveler who chooses the road to follow on his or her journey. While the speaker chooses which path he ought to take in the woods in “The Road Not Taken”, he demonstrated that the decision, whether made eccentrically or thought long and hard about, would change the speaker’s life in a way that cannot be predicted. Frost used nature as images to aid the details of this poem to say more and mean more. In the poem, Frost told of a situation where the speaker comes across a fork in the road and he has to decide which road he is going to take. He could go down the road on the right, or he could go down the road on the left. Nevertheless, he realized that choosing the “right” road would completely change his life forever. Frost’s images enable the reader to picture the roads of life and to discover what they meant to the speaker. The Road Not Taken represents a choice in a single moment in a lifetime. It is impossible to foretell the consequences of most of the major decisions ......
