Military Robots Robots have become a major development in the United States Military. The military is trying to use robots, and unmanned aircraft vehicles so fewer Americans have to die in war. The only problem with coming up with this new technology is that it costs a lot of money. It is worth this money even if it saves one American from dieing in war. One of the unmanned ariel vehicles (UAV) that is being created for the military is the Predator Drone. The Predator is an unmanned aerial vehicle which the U.S. Air Force describes as a MALE (medium-altitude, long-endurance) UAV system. It can serve in a reconnaissance role, and it can also be weaponized and can carry two AGM-114 Hellfire missiles. The aircraft has been in use since 1995, and been in combat over Afghanistan, Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq, and Yemen. The Predator is a system, not just an aircraft. The fully operational system consists of four air vehicles with sensors, a ground control station , a Predator primary satellite link communication suite and 55 people.
