American society today is very complex and diverse. In this essay I will analyze American society from the conflict approach and from the systems approach. Each of the two approaches has very different opinions on how society should function. Each of the two, conflict and systems approaches analyze society through eight assumptions. Each approach has different views on the eight assumptions. The systems approach is on the far right of the United States political structure, and is made up of extreme conservatives. The first basic assumption of the systems approach is that the nature of man is bad. One of the reasons why they believe the nature of ban is bad is because of original sin in the story of Adam and Eve. Systems theorists believe that the nature of man is bad due to the idea that every person is a descendent of Adam and Eve. The systems approach also believes that the nature of man is bad for another reason. The reason being is Darwinism. Darwin�s idea is the survival of the fittest.
