Da Vinci Code Essay Part 1: The protagonist of the book is Robert Langdon he is a professor at the University of Harvard and teaches religious zymology. He is in his early 40’s. One conflict that Robert Langdon encounters during the story would be trying to decode the message left behind by Jacques Sauniere. They way he solves conflicts through thinking through the knowledge that he has about human history and getting in the mind of the early church leaders, as well as the painter of Da Vinci himself. The second conflicts would be the fact that he has to change the outlook on his faith. This is a very long and tense process. For you to see he was a Catholic all his life. To come over this he went to his old teacher and had a talk with him to re energize for his search of the truth about the Holy Grail. A third conflict that Langdon runs into is being framed for the murder of Jacques Sauniere. He is framed for murder because Jacques left his name on a last note that he made in invisible ink.
