In the books of “Othello” by William Shakespeare and “Cat’s Cradle’ by Kurt Vonnegut the main characters, ‘Othello’ and ‘John’ abuse their powers in order to control their beloved ones. Othello, thinking that Desdemona cheated on him and Cassio has betrayed him orders his execution while John accepts the title of the San Lorenzo Presidency just to marry Juona. However to what extent are they conscious of their actions committed for the sake of ‘love’? People find ways of abusing their sources intentionally and unintentionally.
