Sexism in Advertising Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
The first article I going to talk about is an ad in the Ebony Magazine written by no another Judge Glenda Hatchett, a (TV personality and activist) which, she has been a juvenile court judge in Atlanta, Georgia for eight years. The major character in this ad is Judge Hatchett and her topic is about a sister speaking out on “The Best Interest of Children”.
The target audience in this ad I would say is for both men and women because she trying to reach out to parents who abused and neglected their children physically and mentally.
Judge Hatchett was typically saying in her article that every year more than half a million abused and neglected children in America are thrust into the child welfare system which is through no fault of their own, which children don’t choose their parents, their living conditions or their health issues.
She also talks about how our black community took advantage of the saying “That it takes a village to raise a child”. Which became politicized, and our community lived it without discussion, because when parents were sick, strung out on drugs or just ......
