A relationship in which two people have pledged themselves to each other in the manner of a husband and wife is the definition of marriage (Random House Dictionary). Nevertheless, some couples are unable to maintain their relationship; therefore they chose divorce, which is one of the solutions to cope with their problems. Thinking carefully before choosing to get married is deemed more important than ever. However, the divorce rates tend to continually increase nowadays, thus it may be argued that divorces can be taken place easier than in the past. There are three possible causes of modern divorce that are highlighted below: the changing of woman�s role in society, the stress that is associated in modern living, and lack of communication between partners (Moss, 30). The most significant cause of the increase in the rate of divorce is that women completely changed their roles in modern society.
