It is neat how authors, artists and, musicians use there work to send a message out to their audience. Musicians can use there songs and lyrics to represent themselves, to share a lesson or send out a type of message they want. Artists can also use their art work to share a message and get the viewer to think about their work on a level they want, realistic or unrealistic. The same go for authors, they can put a lot of hidden text in their book’s passages to let the readers know more about the characters and the scene so that it is easier to understand the book. You also get more out of a book when you stay interested and think about what the author is trying to say. In the book Goodbye, Columbus the author, Philip Roth, used a lot of hidden text to speak to his characters, Neil and Brenda. I had never realized how much you can find out about a character by just simply thinking about the passages in the book. By just looking at a passage you can find out so much more about what is going on and it is a more interesting way to go about learning about the book other then the autho......
