When people think of the word Scientology, the first thing that would probably come to mind would be Tom Cruise or John Travolta. May people would also think of cults. But is Scientology really a cult or is it a new religion that hasn�t set its roots in our society? Although Scientologists say that they are totally opposed to psychiatry or any type of psychology, it seems that many �cleansing� practices in Scientology are more closely related to those of psychology than they are to religion.
