Around the world, human beings suffer from many different diseases. I have decided to write about Yellow Fever (viral), Typhoid Fever (bacterial) and Polio (viral). Thankfully, these diseases don�t exist in Australia and in most first world countries anymore due to eradication efforts, but they still exist in third world countries around the world, such as Africa and South America. Yellow Fever Yellow Fever is a viral infection which is transmitted by mosquitoes in tropical regions such as South America. Mild cases of Yellow Fever are similar to influenza, but more serious cases result in high temperature with a series of after effects like kidney failure, meningitis and internal bleeding. Yellow Fever belongs to the Flaviviridae family. You catch it when a mosquito bites into your skin and then the virus is introduced into the bloodstream via the saliva of the mosquito. Now that the virus is in the bloodstream, it can be transported around the body to different cells in which it will reproduce itself, usually in the liver, kidneys and blood vessels.
