Abstract This essay focuses on the topic of a healthy relationship as well as an unhealthy one. The perspective in which this essay follows is based upon a model that Sternberg created that is called the Triangular Theory of Love. There are different components that make up the Triangular Theory of Love. These components determine the type of interpersonal relationship a couple might be in. Using this model, this essay analyzes the types of relationships that can be formed, healthy and unhealthy. It Takes Two to Tango The word relationship is commonly used among various people. It is used in many different contexts to describe associations, affiliations, fellowships and most frequently, bonds. Bonds can exist between virtually anyone; family, friends, coworkers and even pets. However, an interpersonal relationship can tend to be rather difficult to find and conserve.
