The Cold War was a period of confrontation between the two superpowers, the USA and the Soviet Union. The conflict lasted from the end of World War Two (1945), to the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991.
The main reason for the Cold War was based upon the differences in political beliefs The US called it “A clash between Communism and Democracy!” Karl Marx’s theory of Communism was to create a fairer society by placing the economy under public ownership. Unlike German philosopher Karl Marx’s theory, the Soviet Union’s government system was a one-party dictatorship. Democracy is a political system in which all adult citizens have the right to vote and stand for and election. Capitalism unlike communism is privately owned and operated for private profit.
In February, 1945, leaders of USSR, USA, and Great Britain met in the southern Russian town of Yalta to discuss the post-war occupation of Germany and Eastern Europe. The Yalta Conference is considered the start of the Cold War as it was the first disagreement and first major problem between the Russians and Americans. America......
