Management Styles There are several different management styles. In this report 7 different styles will be described, these are listed below: � Democratic � Autocratic � Consultative � Supportive � Collaborative � Passive � Directive Democratic: This type of management style is used by someone who leads by involving their subordinates, listening to their opinions and allowing them to have an influence over the decision making process. Decisions are made based on the majority of votes, in that whatever the majority of managers/employees decide will usually lead to what the management decides after adequate evaluation of the consequences. This type of management is highly likely to delegate a share of their workload to their subordinates. With this type of management there is a lot of two-way communication involved, so that views and ideas are listened to at both senior and junior level.
