Al Capone Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

The infamous Al Capone (a.k.a. Scarface) is one of the greatest known criminals of the twentieth century. His organized crime influenced an entire generation. The era known as the “Roaring Twenties” would not have been roaring without Al Capone’s mob, that provided an escape for the people caught in the depression and prohibition of the twenties. Al Capone may be known as the largest mob boss ever. He achieved his successes through ruthless rule, as much as through intelligent rule. He respected everybody, and was equally respected and loved by his followers because he was loyal, honorable, and even gave back to the public people who were less fortunate (“History” 5). Members of his gang were extremely loyal, and carried out even the most challenging missions for Capone without question. Gabriele Capone, Al’s father, came from Italy to America with his wife in the late 1800’s. Many American immigrants did not have money for the passage to America and came to New York in debt. Gabriele was not one of these immigrants, and he owed nobody for his family’s boat ride and housin......
