Throughout history people from various ethnic backgrounds have migrated to America in search of a better quality of life. Although not every ethnic group has migrated from the same place, many share same experiences upon arrival to this promise land. American mentality is no doubt a contributing factor in misinterpreting or stereotyping an ethnic group, especially those of Mexican decent. Americans continually make effortless misconceptions of Mexican nature, culture, and identity. A short poem written by Alex C.
