Stem cells are human cells that have can become able to develop into many different cell types in the human body. Serving as a repair system for the human body, they can divide and will not ever stop dividing to replenish other cells for as long as the person or animal is still alive. When a stem cell divides in half, each "daughter" cell has the potential to either remain a stem cell or become another type of cell with a higher function, such as a muscle cell, a red blood cell, or a brain cell. The actor of Superman in the movie, Superman, Christopher Reeve, died from a disease that could have been cured from Stem Cell Research. He used his fame and fortune to help pay for and raise money for the research and to help other people that needed the research done to help save their lives. Alan Coleman said that, "We believe that stem cells have uses in diabetes patients, where they have lost the ability to make insulin." This stem cell research can be used to help many people maybe even survive in the near future. It is only a matter of continuing to allow this research ......
