Diversity is measured in many different ways. Gender, sexual orientation, religion and even geographical differences are just a few that affect diversity. People of different situations tend to react differently to diversity. It may depend on where you live or how you were raised and also what is �accepted� in our society. Gender is defined as the behavioral, cultural, or psychological traits typically associated with one sex (Merriam � Websters Inc.). Most people typically associate gender with the sex that one is born based on their sexual organs for the male or female. This seems to be a hot topic today. Trans-genders or trans-sexuals are people that were born with the male or female organs but say they are actually the opposite. So he may be born male but acts and feels like a female, this is trans-gender. Trans-genders are revealing themselves more so than ever. Many of them are now opting to have surgery that removes the original sexual organs they were born with to replace them with the organ they feel goes with the person or sex they say they really are.
