The modern world began circa 1918 "when a 26 year old German Jew named Albert Einstein wrote a paper discussing theories of relativity in the universe."(1) Basically, his theory was that time itself was relative and not a constant, as was previously thought. It wasn't that there was anything wrong with Einstein's brilliant scientific advances, or any post-enlightenment intellectual's ideas for that matter. The problem with great ideas lies in the realm of unintended consequences. Be it Karl Marx's socialist manifesto, Charles Darwin's evolution, or Einstein's relativity the fact remains that brilliant revolutionary scientific ideas have both positive outcomes as well as negative consequences. Unfortunately, the negative results often arise when the wrong people adopt and twist these ideas to fit their own perverse aggendas. Einstein himself, towards the end of his life, was quoted as saying "I wish sometimes that I was just a watchmaker."(2) This of course came after the world witnessed the first atomic bomb exploding over Hiros......
