Willie and Walter Mitty are free spirits desiring a change in their daily lives, and escaping through fantasies. They both feel restrained by different individuals; yet they don�t take the initiative to confront their frustrations towards the person in their lives. Willie lives with three other adults who have yet to seem to have grown up. Walter, on the other hand, is married and lives in a house that�s not far from town. Both Willie and Walter have a desire for freedom to express their deepest desires. They let themselves get caught up in their dreams, which distract them from the tasks they�re responsible for. In contrast, Walter desires excitement and action, while Willie wants respect and love. Willie, who lives with Lucia, Bertha, and Garner, is responsible for removing every last crumb from table with her silver crumber and crumb-catcher.
