Imhotep: The Worlds First Known Genius
Imhotep was a royal advisor, architect, priest, astrologist, sculptor, poet, sage, engineer, city planner and physician, among many other talents. This paper examines Imhotep's contributions to the development of Ancient Egypt in the fields of architecture, medicine, irrigation and philosophy. His discoveries and advances in medical and architectural sciences are backbones to today’s modern sciences.
To give a beginners idea of how important Imhotep was within the Egyptian society, here’s a list of his titles:
• Chancellor of the Ngu of Lower Egypt,
• First after the Ngu of Upper Egypt,
• Administrator of the Great Palace,
• Hereditary nobleman,
• High Priest of Heliopolis,
