GLOBAL WARMING Global Warming is defined in the Webster dictionary as an increase in the average temperature of the earth's atmosphere, especially a sustained increase sufficient to cause climatic change. Global warming is a serious problem and this paper will discuss what global warming is and what we can do to stop it. Global warming is the observed increase in the average temperature of the Earth's atmosphere and oceans in recent decades and its projected continuation. Global warming is happening because vehicles are emitting a huge amount of green house gasses, mainly hydrocarbons and carbon dioxide. Generally plants and trees use carbon dioxide and release oxygen, but since the forests are being cut down for human needs and livestock use the presence of the gasses has increased.(globalwarmingnews.com) They prevent the heat radiated from the earth from escaping our atmosphere, which heats the earth up.
