Steve Paul Jobs (born 24th Feb 1955) is the co-founder and CEO of Apple Computer and was CEO of Pixar until its acquisition by Disney. He is a leading figure in both the entertainment and computer industry. His work which drives forward the development of products that are both functional and elegant has earned him a devoted cult following. Early History. Steven Jobs was born in San Francisco to an American woman and Syrian man. One week after birth, Jobs was put up for adoption by his unmarried mother. He was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs of Mountain View, California. Jobs attended Homestead High School. His electronics teacher at Homestead High, recalled he was "something of a loner" and "always had a different way of looking at things." After school, Jobs attended lectures at the Hewlett-Packard electronics firm in Palo Alto, California. There he was hired as a summer employee. Another employee at Hewlett-Packard was Stephen Wozniak a recent dropout from the University of California at Berkeley.
